Next to the Picturehouse on Bartholomew Street, Bart's Tavern was originally the Exeter Arms when opened around 1816. By the early 1960s it was Bart's Tavern, though enjoyed a brief period as The Merry Monk in the mid 70s. It closed in 2003 and was converted into flats.
